The LFT 2D price checker is a device designed to work on a LAN network. Its basic function is to check and display the price of goods, but thanks to its modern design and large graphic display, it also offers extensive capabilities for the graphic presentation of product information, advertisements, or the retail outlet's promotions.
Barcode reading
The price checker uses an omnidirectional area-imager 2D scanner, which allows easy code reading without needing to position the product at a specific angle. This solution is recommended for retail outlets with a high flow of goods and customers. It can read both 1D and 2D barcodes.
Ability to connect an external scanner
When many products in the store are bulky and reading the code with the built-in scanner is difficult or impossible, a handheld scanner can be connected to the price checker.
Audio price announcement
An absolute novelty for this type of device. The design of the new line of price checkers allows the price of a product to be announced by voice. A male or female voice can be set. This feature is an invaluable aid for people who have difficulty reading the price from the display.
Display
The price checker uses a color, backlit 4.3'' TFT graphic display with a resolution of 480x272. The sharp, eye-friendly, high-quality image significantly extends the price checker's capabilities. The display can show graphics encouraging customers to check the product's price. When a customer checks a price, the price checker can display, in addition to the name and price, additional information about the selected product in the form of advertising or promotional graphics. The display can also show advertising graphics while the price checker is in standby mode.
Communication with the computer system
LFT 2D price checkers communicate with the management software over a LAN network. Both data transmission and power can be carried over a single cable. The maximum distance between a LAN price checker and the power module is 100 m. When a barcode is read, LAN-version price checkers send a request for item data to the management software. Central storage of the item database guarantees data consistency across all devices installed on the network. Even with a large number of price checkers integrated with the warehouse management program, the response and display of the item name and price are instantaneous.
Installation
The price checkers are designed for mounting on a wall or a pole, using a mounting plate. This also allows the price checker to be mounted on a bracket or an arm. The spacing of the additional holes matches the spacing of brackets commonly used in retail.
Power supply
Power modules and power supplies are essential equipment for the price checkers. Price checkers working on a LAN network can be powered locally or remotely via the communication cable. Each price checker is fitted with a power socket dedicated to a 33V 1.6A mains power supply. In installations with a single price checker, the recommended power method is to use a PoE power supply.
