Fiscal Cash Registers and Printers

Do I need to have a fiscal cash register?

The obligation to record sales on a cash register applies to businesses selling goods and services to individuals not running a business and to flat-rate farmers. Some industries must have a cash register from their very first sale, regardless of turnover – among others car repair shops, hospitality / food service, hairdressing and beauty services, doctors and lawyers. Give us a call and we'll check together whether your business is subject to this obligation. See the fiscal cash registers in our range.

What's the difference between a fiscal cash register and a fiscal printer?

A fiscal cash register is a standalone device – it has its own product database and keyboard, and works without a computer. A fiscal printer must be connected to a computer running the sales software that controls it. A printer is the choice where a warehouse system or POS is already in place; a cash register – for smaller outlets and where simplicity of use matters most.

What is an online cash register, and do I need one?

An online cash register sends sales data to the Central Cash Register Repository (Centralne Repozytorium Kas) run by the National Revenue Administration (Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa). It requires a permanent internet connection – via Wi-Fi, cable or a SIM card. Only online cash registers and printers are currently sold, so buying a new device means buying an online cash register.

Which cash register should I choose for my business?

A small service outlet needs only a portable or small stationary cash register. In a grocery shop, a cash register with a barcode scanner and a scale works well. In hospitality / food service – a set with an order printer (kitchen printer). In transport – a ticket printer. For car washes we have devices resistant to moisture and outdoor use, and for doctors, lawyers and the motor trade – compact cash registers for the office. Tell us about your business and we'll select the right equipment.

Do you help with fiscalization and registering the device with the tax office?

Yes. We fiscalize the device, program the product database, VAT rates and the header, and also help complete the registration paperwork. We hand over the cash register ready to work – more in the Service section.

Rebate, Inspections and Obligations

Can I get back part of the cost of buying a cash register?

Taxpayers who start recording sales within the applicable deadlines can use the rebate for purchasing an online cash register – 90% of the net purchase price, no more than PLN 700 per device. The conditions include, among others, starting to record sales on time and having proof of payment. We'll help you put together the documents.

How often does a cash register need a technical inspection?

Every year, or every 2 years at the latest. The deadline for the first inspection is counted from the fiscalization date, each subsequent one – from the date of the previous one. The 2-year deadline must not be exceeded, and having the inspection done every year extends the warranty on the fiscal device. This applies to fiscal cash registers and printers, including online ones. See details in the Service section.

What happens if the inspection isn't done on time?

For a late inspection, the head of the tax office (Urząd Skarbowy) imposes a fine. It may also create an obligation to repay the rebate received for the cash register. If you bought the device from us, we'll remind you of the upcoming deadline – you don't have to keep track of it yourself.

I'm closing my business – what should I do with the cash register?

When decommissioning a cash register, a fiscal memory read-out is performed and a report is drawn up with a service technician and a tax office employee present. We perform the read-outs and prepare the documentation – get in touch with us and we'll arrange a date.

I've lost my cash register service book. What now?

The cash register service book (książka kasy) is a document that must be kept for the entire service life of the device and shown during a tax inspection. If it is lost or destroyed, a duplicate is issued – contact us and we'll help you through the procedure.

Choosing Equipment for Your Business

What do I need to equip a new shop?

The basis is a fiscal cash register or a POS system with software. In addition, you'll find a barcode scanner useful, a scale (if you sell goods by weight), a cash drawer and a payment terminal for accepting card and BLIK payments. Also remember the consumables – till rolls. Tell us what you sell and we'll prepare a complete list.

Which set works best for hospitality / food service?

In a hospitality / food service venue, a POS system with software combined with an order printer (kitchen printer) that prints tickets for the kitchen and the bar works best. This is complemented by a touch monitor and a payment terminal. Ready-made solutions can be found in the cash registers for hospitality category.

Which barcode scanner should I choose?

For a shop with light traffic, a handheld 1D scanner is enough. With a large number of customers, a stationary scanner or one built into the counter works well. If you scan codes from a phone screen – for example coupons or QR codes – you need a 2D scanner. In a warehouse and during stocktaking, a mobile computer (data collector) works best. See all barcode scanners.

Which scale should I choose – for a greengrocer's, a meat counter or a back office?

A checking scale only weighs – it works well in the back office and for checking goods. A price computing scale converts weight into price and works with the cash register – the choice for a greengrocer's or a grocery shop. A label printing scale additionally prints a label with the price, weight and barcode – ideal for meat and deli counters and for packaging. All models are in the electronic scales category.

I need a payment terminal – what should I choose?

For a fixed till position you'll choose a stationary terminal, and for serving customers on the move or in the field – a portable one. Terminals accept payments by card, phone and BLIK. We'll select the device and help connect it to your cash register or POS system – ask us for details.

Purchases, Payments and Delivery

Why do some products show "Price on request"?

We price some devices individually – the price depends on the configuration, quantity, software needed and scope of implementation. For such items you'll find an "Ask for price" button instead of a price. Call 81 744 10 91 or 534 883 677 – we'll give you the price right away.

Are the prices in the shop gross or net?

The prices shown in the shop include VAT (they are gross (incl. VAT) prices). We issue an invoice for every purchase.

How can I pay for my order?

We've described the payment and shipping methods in detail on the Delivery page. If in doubt, we'll agree on a convenient method individually – we serve both companies and individual customers.

Can I buy equipment on instalments or on lease?

Yes. You can finance a fiscal cash register or an entire sales system in instalments – the paperwork is minimal and you get a decision quickly. Details on the Instalment purchases page.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Of course. We welcome you at our premises at ul. Zemborzycka 53 in Lublin, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. We have free parking for customers. See contact details and map.

Service and Support

Do you only service equipment bought from you?

No. We service devices regardless of where they were purchased. We service the NOVITUS, ELZAB, POSNET, DATECS, EMAR, ACLAS, INNOVA and FAREX brands, as well as label printers from Zebra, TSC and Godex. Full scope in the Service section.

Do you help remotely?

Yes – we resolve many issues without a technician's visit. After agreeing on the details by phone, we connect to your computer remotely and help right away.

My label printer prints poorly or the labels shift.

The most common causes are a dirty or worn printhead and a miscalibrated label sensor. We clean and replace printheads, calibrate sensors and choose the right labels and thermal transfer ribbons for the application. Also check our range of label printers.

Do you implement sales systems and train staff?

Yes. We carry out installations, implementations and training on using cash registers and sales software. We provide warranty and post-warranty service, and on request also 24-hour service.

Consumables

Which till rolls fit my cash register?

It depends on the device model – thermal till rolls 57 mm or 80 mm wide are the most commonly used. Give us your cash register model and we'll tell you the right size. We also carry labels, price tags and ink ribbons – see till rolls and labels.
