The ELZAB LLT price checker is a device designed to work on a LAN network. Its basic function is to check and display the price of goods, but thanks to its modern construction and the use of a large graphic display, it has extensive capabilities for the graphic presentation of product information, advertisements, or promotional campaigns of a retail outlet.
Barcode reading
The price checker uses a linear imager-type scanner, which is an economical solution, but one that requires the product to be positioned correctly. This solution is recommended for retail outlets with low customer traffic.
Ability to connect an external scanner
When many products in the outlet are large and reading the code with the built-in scanner is difficult or impossible, a handheld scanner can be connected to the price checker.
Audio price playback
An absolute novelty in this type of device. The construction of the new price-checker line allows the price of a product to be played back as audio. A female or male voice can be set. This feature is an invaluable help for people who have difficulty reading the price from the display.
Display
The price checker uses a color, backlit 4.3'' TFT graphic display with a resolution of 480x272. The vivid, eye-friendly, high-quality image significantly expands the price checker’s capabilities. The display can show graphics encouraging customers to check the price on the product. While a customer is checking a price, the price checker can display, in addition to the name and price, additional information related to the selected product in the form of advertising or promotional graphics. The display also allows advertising graphics to be shown while the price checker is in standby mode.
Communication with the computer system
LLT price checkers communicate with the management software via a LAN network. Both data transmission and power supply can be carried over a single cable. The maximum distance between a LAN price checker and the power module is 100 m. LAN-version price checkers send a request for product data to the management software as soon as a barcode is read.
Central storage of the product database guarantees data consistency across all devices installed on the network.
Even with a large number of price checkers integrated with the inventory management software, the response and display of the product name and price are instantaneous.
Installation
The price checkers are designed to be mounted on a wall or a pole. A mounting plate is used for this purpose. It also allows the price checker to be mounted on a bracket or boom arm. The spacing of the additional holes matches the spacing of brackets commonly used in retail.
Power supply
Power modules and power supplies are essential equipment for the price checkers. Price checkers operating on a LAN network can be powered locally or remotely via the communication cable. Each price checker is equipped with a power socket dedicated to a 33V 1.6A mains power supply. In installations with a single price checker, the recommended power method is to use a PoE power supply.
