KSeF 2026 – Which Documents Will Not Have to Go Into the System?

Since 2026, the National e-Invoicing System (Krajowy System e-Faktur, KSeF) has become mandatory for many businesses, but the regulations also provide for a number of exceptions.

  • The following will be exempt from KSeF, among others:
  • invoices for consumers (B2C) – issued to private individuals not running a business,
  • tickets serving as invoices (e.g. train, plane, ferry tickets),
  • accounting notes and debit notes (e.g. for contractual penalties or interest),
  • invoices issued by foreign entities without a registered office or a permanent place of business in Poland.

Selected temporary exemptions:
fiscal invoices issued using a fiscal cash register – the exemption applies until the end of 2026,
receipts with a NIP treated as simplified invoices (up to PLN 450 gross), exempt until the end of 2026.
Micro-enterprises also get transitional relief
From 1 April to 31 December 2026, companies whose monthly sales do not exceed PLN 10,000 gross will be exempt from the obligation to issue invoices in KSeF.
It's worth checking now which documents in your company will be covered by the KSeF obligation and which will remain outside the system.
