KSeF 2026: Do I Have to Send All Invoices to KSeF in 2026?

Many myths have grown up around the National e-Invoicing System (Krajowy System e-Faktur, KSeF) – the most common being the belief that from April 2026 every invoice must be sent to the system. That's wrong! The regulations divide the exceptions into three clear categories.
Check when you can invoice outside KSeF:
1. INDEFINITE exemption

  • B2C transactions – invoices issued to private individuals not running a business (consumers) are optional and, under the current interpretation of the regulations, not mandatory in the KSeF system

2. TEMPORARY exemption (until 31 December 2026)
During the transition period, the following are exempt from KSeF:

  • Simplified invoices – i.e. receipts with a tax ID (NIP) up to PLN 450 gross (incl. VAT).
  • Fiscal invoices – documents issued directly on a fiscal cash register (no amount limit here!).

3. Exemption BASED ON TURNOVER LIMIT (until 31 December 2026)

  • Lower turnover = temporary exemption from KSeF: if you issue traditional B2B invoices (other than receipts with a NIP or cash register invoices), but the total gross value of your sales does not exceed PLN 10,000 in a given month, you are exempt from this obligation until the end of 2026.

Conclusions: the regulations give smaller businesses and companies operating on fiscal cash registers valuable time for a stress-free rollout. Despite the general obligation, the KSeF system in 2026 allows for significant exceptions. It's worth carefully analyzing the structure of your revenue and customers in order to optimally adjust your company's accounting processes.
